This is a beautiful view of the church with the snow in mid winter. I was visiting there when they started the restoration work a few years ago and now they will be having regular masses there each week. You almost will miss seeing the church as it is up on the hill close to north 14 on your way to Cerrillos, Madrid, and Santa Fe, and is a beautiful drive from Albuquerque to Santa Fe instead of the plain route via the interstate. The historic mining towns and winding mountain roads make the Turquoise Trail one of the most scenic routes in New Mexico. Your point of view in the photo is looking to the northeast towards the Ortiz Mountains and the Ortiz Mountain Ranch. A friend of mine has painted this church among other many numerous watercolor paintings of the area churches. Nice photo.
